Attention: Security Incident Notice

Dear South Newport Residents,

We want to make you aware of a security incident that occurred in our community garage on the morning of Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

At approximately 5:29 AM, an unidentified individual entered the garage. For about 30 minutes, they vandalized multiple vehicles and stole a bicycle and other personal belongings. The individual exited the garage at approximately 6:00 AM, after surveying the area and committing theft.

Surveillance images of the suspect are attached below. If you recognize this individual or have any information that may assist, please contact us immediately.

As a security precaution, we will be updating the garage gate code. Please watch for a follow-up communication from the board with the new code and additional instructions.

We also strongly recommend that residents do not leave gate remotes (clickers) in their vehicles. These items can provide easy entry to unauthorized individuals and compromise the security of the entire community.

Finally, please ensure you do not keep any personal or valuable items in or around your vehicle. As a reminder, the HOA is not responsible for damage or theft to personal property stored in the garage.
