Dear Residents,
We are writing on behalf of the South Newport HOA to address several recurring issues that are affecting the safety, cleanliness, and overall well-being of our community. Please take a moment to review the following rules and reminders, which apply to all residents and their guests:
Do not dump large furniture or bulk items in the trash bins, in the dumpster, or anywhere outside or around the building. All oversized items must be hauled away and properly disposed of off-site.
Do not leave “donations,” furniture, or personal items in the lobby, garage entryway, laundry room, or any other common areas. These spaces must remain clean and clear at all times.
Laundry room etiquette matters. Please remove your clothing promptly when cycles are complete, and do not leave detergent, or other personal items behind. The laundry facilities are shared and must remain accessible to all residents.
All cardboard boxes must be broken down before being placed in the recycling bins. Overflowing bins and unbroken boxes are a fire hazard and create issues for our trash services.
Do not use or “borrow” garage carts. These are privately owned and not shared property. Please respect your neighbors’ belongings.
Do not duplicate building keys. Unauthorized key copies are a serious security violation.
Do not prop open the building doors. This compromises the safety and security of the entire community.
Dogs must be leashed at all times when in the common areas of the building. This includes hallways, the garage, elevator, and courtyard.
Please clean up after your pet. This includes any messes made on South Newport property, especially the landscaping and sidewalk area in front of the building.
Thank you for your cooperation and for doing your part to keep South Newport a safe and welcoming place to live.
Sincerely,
The South Newport HOA
